Seminal antigenicity impacts semen quality. Increased antigenicity decreases peroxidase-positive leukocytes and post-thaw sperm ROS-positive cells, yielding reduced lipid peroxidation and a greater percentage of metabolically active sperm indicative of efficient antioxidant defense mechanisms exerting a protective influence during cryo-stress.
