ABSTRACT

One of the unfortunate consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic is the millions of laid-off employees in the airline industry due to travel restrictions imposed worldwide to contain the spread of the deadly virus. Such a scenario has prompted the emergence and prevalence of the second career phenomenon. This research note attempted to explore online news articles and videos via manifest content analysis. Some theoretical and practical implications from the findings of this research note were also identified.
