Peer Review Policy: This is a peer-reviewed journal. All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and subsequent review by one or two anonymous referees. The only exception is when certain submitted articles fall within the special anthropological competence of one of the editors, in which case that person serves as the reviewer. In addition, we may note that book and film reviews are solicited by the review editors from competent writers, and the reviews are scrutinized by those editors before publication.
