Journal overview

The aim of this journal is to create an evidence base to support and inform practitioners, researchers and other stakeholders in the field of coaching in the workplace. This is an international, peer-reviewed journal with explicit focus on the theory, practice and research of workplace coaching. The journal is dedicated to the advancement of coaching research and practice with an international perspective.

We welcome well written, rigorous articles from a variety of theoretical and methodological traditions covering various aspects of coaching including:

This journal publishes original research, book reviews and invited papers. All articles should make an explicit link to coaching theory and practice. As such, it is relevant to academics, organisational coaches, life coaches, positive psychology practitioners and professionals working across a wide range of organisations.


Definition of Coaching: The editors define coaching as "a human development process that involves structured, focused interaction and the use of appropriate strategies, tools, and techniques to promote desirable and sustainable change for the benefit of the coachee and potentially for other stakeholders" (Bachkirova, Cox, & Clutterbuck, 2014, p. 1).

Affiliations: Coaching is affiliated with the internationally renowned organisation: the Association for Coaching. Established in 2002, the Association for Coaching, is a leading international, not-for-profit professional body dedicated to promoting excellence, ethics and mastery in coaching, worldwide.

Peer Review: All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to double anonymized peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees.
