Aims and scope

Psychological Inquiry is an international journal devoted to advancing theory in psychology. Each issue includes a lengthy target article on a controversial or provocative topic, followed by peer commentaries and a response from the target author(s). The Journal will only consider proposals of potential Target Articles which can be made using the Target Article Proposal Form. Only once a proposal is approved by the Editor following peer review by at least three reviewers will authors be invited to submit their full article.

The genesis of this approach and more detail on how it works in practice is described in the Editor’s Editorial.

Peer Review Policy: All review papers in this journal have undergone editorial screening and peer review.
