Homework in Physical Education: Benefits, Challenges and Strategies

Abstract

To extend students’ engagement in physical activity outside of class, physical educators may assign physical education (PE) homework, but this option is rarely implemented. This article discusses the benefits of implementing PE homework, as well as the challenges for teachers, students and parents. It also offers strategies for physical educators to successfully integrate PE homework into their classes.
