The aim of Marine Geodesy is to stimulate progress in ocean surveys, mapping, and remote sensing by promoting problem-oriented research in the marine and coastal environment.

The journal will consider articles on the following topics:

  • precise navigation;
  • boundary demarcation and determination;
  • tsunamis;
  • plate/tectonics;
  • geoid determination;
  • hydrographic and oceanographic observations;

  • system calibration and validation;
  • geographic information systems.


Peer Review Statement

Marine Geodesy is a subscription-based international, ranked, peer-reviewed journal which publishes original research contributions to scientific knowledge.

Marine Geodesy accepts the following types of article: research paper, technical note and data note. All manuscript submissions are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees.

All peer review is double anonymized and submission is online via Submission Portal

Authors can choose to publish gold open access in this journal.
