Claustrum is  a peer-reviewed, open access journal. It was conceived as a nexus for all things pertaining to the claustrum, a nucleus in the mammalian brain. Broadly speaking, this journal aims to be a gathering place for the presentation and discussion of original research, ideas and opinions intended to advance our understanding of the claustrum’s raison d'être from a structural, functional and clinical perspective.
