Biomaterial Investigations in Dentistry is an open access journal that publishes dental research in oral biomaterials science.
The journal was formerly known as Acta Biomaterialia Odontologica Scandinavica.
The editorial policy of this journal is to welcome submissions from researchers from around the world. The scope of the journal includes all basic and clinical aspects of oral biomaterials science in dentistry.
Original articles, review articles, systematic reviews, mini reviews, brief reports, case reports, letters to the editor, editorials, and conference proceedings will be considered for publication. For more information on criteria and article's structure, please visit Instructions to Authors section. In general, analytical studies are preferred to descriptive studies. Articles reporting novel research showing cause and effect relationships for experimental studies and explanatory / associative relationships for those of an observational nature are favored and hypothesis driven research is encouraged.
Short communications should not be longer than two pages and should contain new and important information, and follow the usual division into Material and Methods, Results and Discussion.
The journal operates a double anonymized peer review policy.
All articles will be made freely and permanently available online through Gold open access publication.
