Mycology : An International Journal on Fungal Biology (ISSN 2150-1203, e-ISSN 2150-1211, CN 10-1918/Q) is an open access journal that publishes research in all fields of mycology, fungi, and fungus-like organisms and lichens.

The aim of Mycology is to provide a platform to meet the needs of a demanding and growing field, and to serve and engage dialogue between Chinese mycologists and the international community.

The journal is sponsored by the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences/ The Mycological Society of China is the co-operator. 

Mycology  publishes papers in all fields of mycology including:

  • Taxonomy and systematics
  • Phylogenomics and evolutionary biology
  • Ecology and biodiversity
  • Genetics and molecular biology
  • Genomics and secondary metabolism
  • Bioinformatics
  • Morphogenesis
  • Cell biology
  • Fungal biotechnology and new techniques

The following types of papers will be considered: Original Research Articles, Technical Reviews or Notes reporting new research, and Invited papers.The journal operates a single-anonymized peer review policy.

Article Publishing Charges (APCs) apply for this journal. 

All articles will be made freely and permanently available online through gold open access publication. There are a limited number of APC waivers available for high-quality papers. If you think your research might be eligible for one of these waivers, please contact the editors prior to submission.
