Strategic Dossiers offers an annual selected title from The International Institute for Strategic Studies’ flagship collection of thematic book-length studies of the same name. Meant to inform policy debates, each Dossier explores a thematic topic in-depth, providing a comprehensive approach on a strategic issue of global relevance. Combining IISS data, visualisations and original policy-relevant analysis, each Dossier aims to be the ultimate reference book for policymakers, the private sector and policy analysts who seek rigorous, independent and dispassionate knowledge. IISS Strategic Dossiers are produced by a team of specialists working under the supervision of its Research Board, which decides on the topics examined and ensures the highest standards of analysis.
