Aims & Scope: Artificial DNA: PNA & XNA focuses on chemistry and chemical biology of non-natural nucleic acids, derivatives and mimics.
Advances in chemistry, molecular biology and nanotechnology have opened an exciting new scene for nucleic acid research. In this journal, the unique molecular recognition properties of nucleobases are explored within:
• mimicking and understanding profound biological processes
• drug discoveries
• genetic targeting
• diagnostics
• building nanostructures and machines
• sequence addressed assembly of molecules and particles
• nucleic acid recognition
• protein recognition
• surface modification
• in vitro and cellular molecular probes
• molecular tagging
• novel synthesis and design
• exploring the origin and fundamental properties of life
By making novel findings in this area broadly available to scientists, Artificial DNA: PNA & XNA plays a pivotal role in the expansion of and innovations in the nucleic acid field.
Artificial DNA: PNA & XNA publishes broadly three general types of papers:
i) original research
ii) methods and technical advances
iii) reviews and meeting reports
All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single blind and submission is online via EJournal Press.
Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Group, 530 Walnut Street, Suite 850, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
