Journal overview

This title has ceased (2018).

Journal of Organic Semiconductors is a multi-disciplinary Open Access journal whose focus is the science and technology of organic semiconducting materials. The journal publishes original articles on all aspects of organic semiconducting materials, including molecular design and synthesis, processing, optoelectronic properties of organic materials, thin film growth, and characterisation and electronic applications of organic semiconductors.

Research Areas include:

  • Optical, electrical, morphological characterization techniques and parameter extraction
  • Applications of organic electronics, including theory and device design
  • Fabrication of organic semiconductor devices such as organic light emitting diodes, thin film transistors, photovoltaic cells, and metal/semiconductor diode sensors
  • Nanoscale electronic and optoelectronic devices, sensors, and alternative electronic materials

Experimental, theoretical and application papers on the chemistry, physics and engineering of these materials are encouraged for submission. All contributions are rigorously refereed and selected on the quality and originality of the work as well as the breadth of interest to readers. Articles published in the journal are of interest to chemists, physicists, materials scientists and device engineers concerned with organic materials, devices and phenomena.
