Biomedical Engineering Covering all aspects of the rapidly developing interface of engineering and medicine, submissions are welcomed on biomechanics, biomaterials, bio-mechatronics, bionics, tissue engineering, and medical devices. All areas of advanced medical imaging, bioinformatics, computational modelling, tools and clinical applications to orthopedics, cardiovascular system, dental, skin, rehabilitation are encouraged.
Chemical Engineering Chemical engineering is a discipline that can make our lives better via manufacturing high-quality industrial and consumer products, and providing sustainable energy, healthy food, affordable healthcare, clean water and environment. We welcome manuscripts addressing global challenges, and scientific and technical issues relevant to a wide range of chemical processes and products including functional materials.
Civil & Environmental Engineering Covers all areas of infrastructure development, including structural, building, transportation (roads, rail tracks and runways), environmental, geotechnical and geoenvironmental, hydraulics and water resources, waste disposal and utilization, construction, site management, cost-benefit analysis, risk analysis, climate change impacts, and sustainability.
Computer Science Covering the full array of computer science, this section accepts submissions on all topics covering, but not limited to, networks, telecommunications, cyber-security, human-computer interactions, wireless technologies, information and technology management, mobile technology, artificial intelligence, data engineering, process modelling, sensor networks, cryptology, and computer vision.
Electrical & Electronic Engineering All major fields in electrical and electronic engineering are accepted, including power systems: sustainable energy, smart grids, communications, signal processing, sensors and sensing technology as well as their intersection with topics covered in the systems & control and computer science sections such as robotics and AI, VR , sensors, antennas and more.
Materials Engineering The entire spectrum of materials science, engineering and technology is covered. Submissions dealing with design, synthesis, characterization, modelling, testing, processing and use of materials are all welcome. Papers on bio-inspired materials, novel active materials, functional materials, self-healing materials and any other new materials, as well as their exploitation to create smart artefacts and adaptive structures for applications in engineering and beyond are of particular interest.
Mechanical Engineering Covers the science, art and practice of mechanical engineering as well as its interactions with other disciplines. The section publishes technical and survey papers in all areas of mechanical engineering including aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, computer-aided design, computer-aided engineering, computer-aided manufacture, control systems, engineering design, finite-elements analysis, fluid mechanics, fracture mechanics, mechatronics, MEMS, metrology, microsystems, nanotechnology, plasticity, solid mechanics, sound and vibrations, structural dynamics, thermodynamics and tribology.
Production & Manufacturing Bridging the gap between theoretical research and industrial applications on advanced production and manufacturing systems, topics related to production design and simulation, manufacturing planning and optimization, production measurement and operation, product quality control and maintenance, logistics systems are welcome. Emerging production and manufacturing areas such as manufacturing intelligence, manufacturing service, robotic manufacturing/re-manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing approaches, cyber-physical production systems, and industrial big data, are also considered for publication.
Systems & Control A forum for the rapid dissemination of research results on both new theoretical contributions and novel applications of established theories in systems and control engineering. Apart from traditional areas and topics, we encourage papers on new developments including cyber-physical systems, hybrid systems, autonomous systems, event-triggered and data-driven systems, quantum systems, and their control applications.
